Visiting a doctor's office can be frustrating—phone calls go unanswered, convenient appointments are scarce, and after lengthy waits, doctor consultations often last mere minutes. The patient experience is rarely satisfactory.
Yet behind the scenes, medical offices strive to accommodate as many patients as possible within significant constraints. Healthcare systems face mounting pressure from an aging population and increasing medical demands. Expanding the medical workforce isn't an overnight solution, and with healthcare workers leaving the profession at alarming rates, innovative support systems are essential.
When Otomo Health launched in 2024, voice-based LLM technology had matured sufficiently for medical applications. As founders with healthcare expertise, we sought to leverage these technological advances to benefit medical professionals, patients, and their families—a vision that drives our current business development.
Mike pioneered insomnia diagnostic technology before building a clinic from the ground up. His experience optimizing patient flow through CRM systems directly shaped Otomo's core concept.
Kevin brings invaluable perspective as an internal medicine physician with firsthand knowledge of clinical practice and the challenges of high-volume patient management.
